   Personal Posters are not just ‘reproductions’of the photograph you choose, but are custom creations that are visually unique, artistically altered, one-of-a-kind art posters that you will be proud to display.

   Sometimes the artistic manipulation is very subtle ... sometimes it is not. In some cases it's difficult to tell if the completed art image is a photograph, a painting, a drawing… or a blend of all three.

   The type and extent of manipulation is a matter of the designer’s creativity and is influenced by a variety of factors, including he volume of pixels available for enlargement, the quality of the shadows, mid-tones and  highlights, and focal sharpness of the original photo - they all play important roles. Backgrounds and a variety of other factors also play a part in the process. Special effects seen in some of the images that appear throughout the web site are examples of the effects that might be used in the design process for a particular photo... in short, it’s an art form and every poster is unique.... one-of-a-kind. Many people think that because it's done with a computer it must be a 'click a button and it's done' thing. Nothing could be further from the truth.  I have never been able to complete a poster in less than an hour...  In most cases it takes somewhere between 2 or 3 hours.

   Personal Posters are produced on professional quality 16” x 20” Heavyweight Matte Finish Media (42lb.) and fit standard size frames available at any Wal*Mart or similar store. There is sufficient clear space margin on all sides to allow for matting if you should choose to do so. The prints may be placed directly into a frame or professionally dry-mounted to a solid backing prior to installation. Posters are digitally produced on an Epson 3000 large-format professional printer.

Special Notes: Close-up “people-portrait” and motorcycle images are usually produced with very little digital manipulation of the person(s) or bike -  even though the background might be highly manipulated.  Keep in mind that some of the original photos are not in crisp focus, and for the most part, the lack of crisp focus can not always be corrected or worked around - in those cases manipulation is almost always used on the person(s) or bike.  Professional dry-mounting is generally recommended to prevent media waving or warping that might occur over time. Exact reproduction or matching of colors is not intended - subtle color shifts should be expected.
